工作内容
- Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects of the Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP) in the Caribbean;
- Monitors and analyses programme/project development and implementation; prepare and review relevant documents and reports;
- Liaises with relevant parties; identifies and tracks follow up actions;
- Coordinates activities related to budget and funding (programme/project preparation and submissions, progress reports and financial statements) and prepares related documents/reports (pledging, work programme and programme budget);
- Participates in or lead field missions, including provision of guidance to external consultants, government officials and other parties and drafting mission summaries
- Provides support to Network countries in meeting Montreal Protocol compliance requirements through planning and facilitating network meetings and workshops;
- Researches, analyses and presents information gathered from diverse sources; Assists in policy development to assist network countries meet their hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFC) phase-out obligations following the agreed timetable, including the review and analysis of issues and trends, preparation of impact evaluation or equivalent studies;
- Undertakes survey initiatives; reviews, analyses and interprets responses, identifies problems/issues and prepares conclusions to improve delivery of CAP services to the countries;
- Prepares various written outputs as draft background papers, analysis, sections of reports and studies and inputs to publications that will be useful for the network countries;
- Provides substantive support to consultative and other meetings, conferences to include proposing agenda topics, identifying participants, preparation of documents and presentations;
- Undertakes outreach activities; conducts training workshops and seminars; makes presentations on assigned topics/activities as representative of CAP.

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in environmental science, engineering or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two (2) years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
工作经验
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in environmental programmes or projects is required.
Working experience in developing countries is required.
Experience in implementing environmental programmes or projects at the national or regional levels is desirable.
Experience in Ozone Depleting Substances phase-out activities is desirable
Experience with UN system or national institutions implementing Montreal Protocol programmes is desirable.
语言要求
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of another UN official languages is desirable.
Note: "Fluency equals a rating of "fluent" in all four areas (read, write, speak, understand) and "knowledge of" equals a rating of "confident" in two of the four areas.
