工作内容
Within delegated authority, the Public Information Officer will be responsible for the following duties:
• Ensures implementation of dynamic and interactive campaigns to publicize strategic priorities and/or major events, including drafting communication strategies, coordinating efforts, monitoring and reporting on progress, taking appropriate follow-up action, and analyzing the outcome.
• Monitors and analyzes current events, public opinion and digital innovation, identifies issues and trends, and advises management on appropriate action/responses.
• Undertakes activities to promote digital media coverage of priority issues and/or major events, to include development of a campaign strategy and action plan, initiating pro-active outreach efforts, proposing, conceptualizing and arranging coverage, post-production and disseminating materials and consulting with partners on creative concept and approach/story angle and other information requests, undertaking appropriate follow-up action and analyzing and reporting on the impact of coverage.
• Conceptualizes, produces or oversees production of creative content including proposing topics, undertaking research, determining appropriate platforms and target audiences, positioning, milestones, maintaining project management plans, and preparing advocacy toolkits for campaigns.
• Initiates and sustains professional relationships with key constituencies including creative partners in the advertising, music film, digital and fundraising industry.
• Acts as focal point on the development of campaign concepts and guides the development of assets at the global level that can be adapted and implemented by country offices for use in local contexts.
• Participates in selecting the campaign information transmitted to key constituencies.
• Provides guidance to, and may supervise, more junior staff.

专业要求
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
工作经验
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in public information, journalism, advertising, marketing, public relations, public administration or related area is required.
Experience managing social networks and drafting of social media content and strategies is required.
Experience working in communications in a humanitarian context is desirable.
A minimum of two years of recent international field experience (two years in the last five years) is desirable.
语言要求
English and French are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Fluency in another UN official language is desirable.
